Difference between Labrador and Golden Retriever

The main difference between the Labrador and the Golden is the coat colour and the length of the hair. The Labrador has a short, dense coat and a smooth, double coat. The Golden’s coat is long, rich and flat or wavy, and the Golden only has yellow hair in varying shades. The Labrador is also available in black and chocolate in addition to yellow. The Golden’s tail is long and bushy, while the Labrador’s tail is thick and has no side hair. The Labrador’s face and ears are longer than the Golden’s.
