There are three causes of body odour in dogs: firstly, the ears, secondly, the anal glands and thirdly, the mouth. The Pekingese has a long, dense coat, which can easily accumulate dust and dirt. Its ears are also pendulous. It is also important to keep the Pekinese’s mouth clean. The mouth also tends to give off a disgusting odour when it is not brushed for long periods of time. Clean the Pekingese’s anus frequently, as the smell left by excrement can grow and give off Pekingese excrement.
