The main causes of feline distemper infection are: i. Contact transmission: Contact transmission is the main mode of transmission; ii. Infection caused by wild virus: Feline distemper virus is widespread in nature, and these scattered viruses are medically called wild virus. Some cats have never been outside or have not come into contact with other cats and suddenly get feline distemper. This is usually caused by wild virus infection, and this source of infection may be the family going out and coming into contact with a cat suffering from feline distemper or coming into contact with substances with the feline distemper virus or wild virus, thus infecting the cat. Therefore, cats should usually be vaccinated against feline distemper.
