Coughing is due to inflammation of the lower respiratory tract, commonly bronchitis, bronchitis and pneumonia. Cats usually do not have a similar action to human coughing, so when they have phlegm they act like they are vomiting, which requires the owner to distinguish the difference between coughing and vomiting. Vomiting will be accompanied by a violent abdominal twitching before finally vomiting, usually the vomit will be food, clear mucus, yellow bile, coughing will only have the same action as clicking something, most of what comes out is clear liquid, rarely any other object.
