Deformities of the dog’s nose are usually due to a genetic problem, but this abnormality is not necessarily inherited. When selecting a dog, it is best to find out the pedigree of the last three generations of the dog and whether there are any inbreeding situations present, as such genetic mutations may have a high chance of occurring if the dog is inbred.
