You cannot. Dogs mainly dissipate heat through their tongues, ears, limbs and paws. With high summer temperatures and strong UV rays, if shaved too short it can easily lead to sunburn on your dog’s skin. In addition, if the hair is shaved too short, the skin comes into direct contact with dust and bacteria in the air, which can easily induce skin diseases. Some dogs may feel unhappy or even depressed when their coat is shaved short.
