Can dogs eat ice-cream?

It is generally not recommended to give your dog ice-cream. Ice cream is not recommended for puppies, dogs with a weak gut or those with poor cold tolerance. This is because ice-cream is cold, comes in a variety of varieties and has complex ingredients. If it contains ingredients such as caffeine and theobromine, excessive intake may cause diarrhoea, chocolate poisoning and cardiac arrhythmia in dogs.
