Under natural conditions, Corgis have long tails. The Corgi’s tail was first used to herd cattle, and it was customary to break the tail when the Corgi was young because it could be stepped on when the cattle were walking around. Nowadays the tail is broken mainly for ease of care and to suit popular aesthetics.
