The main characteristics of Japanese Pekingese Japanese Pekingese have a relatively wide head and their eyes are widely separated, large and round dark and shiny in color. A small amount of white can be seen from the inside corner of the eye, making them look surprised. Its fur is black and white flowered, red and white flowered, and black and white flowered brown with patches. The Japanese Pekingese is affectionate towards familiar people and reserved towards strangers. Its personality is more active, curious and alert. The Japanese Pekingese is not very playful with other dogs and will growl whenever other dogs approach it. The Japanese Pekingese is extremely energetic. The Japanese Pekingese needs to be given plenty of exercise in the process of raising it, at least 1 ½ hours of exercise per day to meet its growth needs.
