The Schnauzer is a small dog. There are three breeds of Schnauzer, the Giant, Standard and Miniature Schnauzer, and the Miniature Schnauzer is a small dog. The Miniature Schnauzer is 30~35cm tall and weighs 4.5~7kg. The Miniature Schnauzer is very friendly and intelligent and is very loyal to its owner. The Miniature Schnauzer is known as the Zweig Schnauzer in Germany and is a cross between a regular Schnauzer and a small dog. The Miniature Schnauzer is very similar in appearance and character to the standard Schnauzer, being alert, lively, intelligent, close to humans and protective of its owner. Originally created to be used as a guard dog on farms to chase away small animals, they are now mostly used as family watchdogs or companion dogs. The Miniature Schnauzer is similar in general appearance to its close relative, the Standard Schnauzer, in that the Schnauzer’s head is rectangular in shape, with the ears positioned high, and if cropped, the ears should be vertical and V-shaped. The body size is 12 to 14 inches and is about the same height and length as a square.
