Ticks on dogs can be dewormed using Follistim drops or sprays; ticks should not be pulled directly from the body surface. Alcohol can also be applied to the tick to relax or kill the tick’s head. After a few minutes then remove the tick with pointed tweezers, clamp the tick from beside the mouthparts and give a sharp pull in order to remove the tick. Ticks on dogs need to be promptly removed from the dog ticks, ticks mainly through the long mouthparts to suck the blood of the dog, so the time to take down the need to paralyze the tick first, to be relaxed after the body of the tick, and then slowly take down, so as not to cause the tick’s mouthparts to break.
