The English Cocker Spaniel may not bark because of its introverted personality or because it has just arrived in an unfamiliar environment and is uncomfortable with its surroundings and therefore will not bark. If the Cocker Spaniel does not bark for a long time, it may have a physical condition, such as a cold or cough, which may cause the Cocker Spaniel to lose its voice. The Cocker Spaniel can also lose its voice if it does not eat properly. If the Cocker Spaniel eats irritating food, it will cause damage to its throat and lose its voice, so it should be fed light food to avoid losing its voice.
