The Dugong is pure or impure in appearance, the Dugong’s head resembles an inverted trapezoid with very well developed chewing muscles and a strong bite that looks fierce and powerful. The Dogue has a wide mouth with sharp teeth. The more black on the lip line, the better the character. The Dogue’s nose is black, with wide nostrils, slightly upturned, and the end of the nose is within the outer curve of the muzzle. The eyes of the Dogue are generally hazel in color and are widely spaced.
