What are the characteristics of Labrador? Labrador’s sexual appearance is characterized by proportional body shape, large bone structure, dense and coarse hard coat, the color of the hair is black, yellow or chocolate, other colors are out of character; characterized by gentle and friendly, very loyal to the master, high IQ, good obedience. All parts of the outline is obvious, well combined, well-proportioned, square-shaped, square head, short face, wide mouth, wide hindbrain, stop moderate. The head and the front face are in parallel with each other, and the length is approximately equal. The stop is moderate and the eyebrows protrude slightly, so the head is not a complete straight line to the tip of the nose. The brow bone emphasizes the stop. The head is well defined, the cheeks do not have a lot of flesh, and the bones of the head are well defined, with a clear outline under the eyes, but the cheeks are not prominent. The head shows a slight center line; the lips cannot be square or drooping. However, a curve is formed toward the throat. The ears hang, moderately close to the head, positioned rather back, slightly below the head; slightly above the level where the eyes are. The ears should not be too large or heavy, but in harmony with the proportions of the head, extending to the inside of the eyes when pulled forward. The Labrador Retriever has a distinctive coat. The coat is short, straight and very dense. It also feels very hard when touched as a puppy. Labradors come in black, yellow and chocolate. However, if there are hairs intermingled with other colors, it is not pure, and a black chest with a handful of white is considered out of order. The Labrador’s tail has no feathering and is surrounded by a thick, short, dense coat, resulting in a peculiar rounded appearance that has been described as an “otter” tail. The tail is a unique feature of the species. It is very thick at the root and tapers toward the tip. The tail is an extension of the dorsal line at rest or during movement. It may be carried cheerfully, but not curled behind. The Labrador is a medium to large dog that is gentle and friendly by nature. It craves human attention and companionship and will often rub its head against its owner’s neck, or even lie on its owner’s lap for hours at a time. So whether it’s an old person or a child, a Labrador is a good companion. The Labrador’s intelligence is very high and it has an unusually sensitive sense of smell, so in many foreign countries, people train Labradors as guide dogs, hunting dogs, and even police dogs. In our country, Labrador even plays a very important role as the protagonist of drug interdiction.
