The first thing pet owners should do when they see a fighting dog being bitten is to check the injury to see how big the wound is, how much it is bleeding and so on. If the wound is deep enough to see bone, or if there is a fracture, then it is time to take the pit bull to the doctor. If the injury is not too serious and the wound is not too large, the owner can clean it with hydrogen peroxide.
