Puppies are ready to be weaned at around 6 weeks of age. It is recommended to start feeding him some supplements at around 3 weeks of age and at around 6 weeks of age, he can be fully weaned. Over time, the nutritional content of breast milk will not meet the puppy’s needs, so a complementary diet will be needed to add nutrition. Supplements can be some softened milk cake food or with some goat’s milk, or homemade chicken breasts without oil or salt, but small and frequent meals are needed.
