What’s wrong with your dog’s red eyeballs?

Red eyes in dogs can be caused by something getting into the eyes, such as hair or dust, causing redness and inflammation. The eyes can be cleaned with a pet eye wash and an antibiotic eye medication can be put on at the same time. You will need to put an Elizabethan ring on your dog while you treat it to prevent your dog from scratching its eyes with its paws, which can lead to an aggravating condition. It will usually improve in three to five days, but if it doesn’t it is advisable to go to the vet for a check-up.
