It is normal for cats to experience hiccups, which usually do not last more than a day. Then the most common hiccups: hairball syndrome, caused by eating too much or digesting too quickly, are nothing to be particularly worried about. If the hiccups are always frequent and make a sound, consider whether something is stuck in the oesophagus or something else is going on.
