A dog bite needs to be washed out, under running water, and more blood needs to be squeezed out of the bite area. Then wash the wound with soapy water for a longer period of time and disinfect with iodine afterwards. Finally, go to the hospital and get a rabies vaccination or, if the bite is severe, other medication.
