This depends on the extent of the impact. If the dog has a broken internal organ, it is very difficult for the dog to heal itself, with mild cases requiring additional treatment and severe cases being difficult to treat. If the dog simply has a broken bone and is left alone, the dog will probably be lame when it is well.
