When a dog is always barking at inopportune times, we should be the first to stop it, punish it and make it realise that this is a wrong behaviour. If the barking is affecting the neighbourhood at night, consider spending more time with your dog during the day to burn off his excess energy. If none of the above stops him, take him to the vet to have his vocal cords removed.
