Usually in the middle to late stages of distemper, dogs will show signs of encephalitis such as convulsions and seizures. It is advisable for owners to take their dogs to the vet in time for treatment and to use neurological medication to assist in the treatment. If its neurological damage is irreversible, then even if the distemper is cured, the dog will still show symptoms of convulsions, but such symptoms are usually not too disruptive to the dog’s daily activities and owners need not worry too much.
