Border Collies fight for a number of reasons, mainly because the Border Collie feels threatened by itself or that something of its own has been violated. It is very important for the Border Collie community to be stable and peaceful, and sometimes this competition for dominance does not see obvious fighting behaviour, or even the order of position is decided without the owner noticing. Therefore, unless the fight is so intense that there is a risk of injury, the owner does not need to intervene. If the aggression is only very brief, the owner does not need to make a fuss and should not chastise the Border Collie for initiating the attack.
