What should I do if my cat is timid?

Cats are timid, usually you can take it out more often to let it see some unfamiliar faces and let it play with other cats more often. Try not to scare it or hit it in normal life. Pet it and hold it more often to increase its sense of security. Or it is good to find a playmate who is smaller than it.
