What causes arthritis in cats

Arthritis in cats is a relatively common degenerative disease of old age, with symptoms getting progressively worse with age, and it is difficult for owners to detect abnormalities in cats in the early stages of the disease. The disease can be congenital or acquired and the exact diagnosis can be confirmed with the help of X-ray imaging. If the cat has severe mobility problems, analgesics and joint-protective medication containing chondroitin sulphate can be given to the cat.
