Hairless cats, Persian cats, Ragdoll cats and Garfield cats are much more docile compared to other breeds of cats and may be better behaved when bathing. However, most cats do not like bathing because they have an inexplicable fear of water and do not like the sound of water running or the sound of the hairdryer. Bathing itself is also a stress reaction for cats. It is recommended that cats should not be bathed too often, just once a month or two.
