Concussions in dogs and cats may result in transient coma, convulsions or unsteady standing of the limbs, unsteady walking and dilated pupils. The body’s reflexes are weakened, the heartbeat is accelerated and incontinence may accompany. If your pet receives a relatively strong shock to the head and the above symptoms occur, it is best to take it to hospital promptly to avoid the condition becoming more serious.
