Some of the more common foods not to eat are: 1. chocolate, which can be fatal. 2. onions, which can cause panting, fatigue and haemolysis. 3. liver, a symptom of vitamin A excess. 4. bones, which can pierce the dog’s throat or cut the dog’s mouth, oesophagus, stomach or intestines. 5. raw eggs, which contain ovalbumin, a protein that depletes the dog’s body of vitamin H. 6. pork Pork, which has larger fat globules than other meats, may block the microvasculature of the dog, especially bacon. 7. Milk, which is not compatible with the dog’s composition, may cause vomiting and diarrhoea. 8. Mushrooms, which may be fatal. 9. Grapes, which can cause kidney failure.
