Common companion dogs include the Chinese Field Dog, which is widely bred in rural China to guard homes, the Golden Retriever, which is particularly friendly to children or babies, and the Husky, which is extremely adaptable to living conditions. Other dogs such as the Poodle, Bichon, Pomeranian and Labrador are good companions.
