The second type is hip disease of the hind legs. This is a common disease in small breeds and usually causes tingling and pain in the hind limbs near the hip joint. It develops between five and eight months of puppyhood, so it is important for breeders to keep an eye on their puppies during this time. The third type of disease is visual. This is usually detected within the first few days of opening the puppy’s eyes and is a disease inherited from the parents.
