Ringworm in cats is caused by a fungal infection. The main clinical signs are itching, hair loss and increased dander. To confirm the diagnosis you need to go to an animal hospital or you can also do it yourself by shining a Wood’s lamp in the dark. If the Wood’s lamp shines fluorescent green, then there is probably a fungal infection of cat moss, but this test is not the only one and microscopy is recommended.
