The difference between a Shiba Inu and an Akita

The difference between the Japanese Shiba Inu and the Akita is mainly in the following aspects: Firstly, in terms of size: the Akita is a large dog; the Shiba Inu is a medium-sized dog. Secondly, in terms of coat: the Akita has a longer, looser and softer coat; the Shiba Inu has a tighter coat to the touch. Thirdly, the Akita’s mouth is not as pointed as the Shiba Inu’s. Fourthly, in terms of personality: the Akita is more naive, more docile and loyal to his master, and better disciplined; the Shiba Inu is quick-witted, mischievous and more stubborn, and his obedience is not as good as the Akita’s.
