Symptoms of worm mites in dogs

Worm mites are mites that live in hair follicles and sebaceous glands. When a dog is infected with worm mites, the following can occur: i. Increased dander. ii. Hair loss, when the mites increase in number they destroy the hair follicles causing necrosis and skin loss. Redness and pustules on the skin. Thickening of the skin. V. Itching, itching caused by irritation of the skin as the mites move around the hair follicles.
