Symptoms of feline tapeworm include diarrhoea, indigestion and vomiting, causing chronic enteritis. Tapeworms are white or milky and transparent, the size of a grain of rice, and infection can occur in cats of all ages. Diagnosis is usually confirmed by a combination of clinical signs, faecal conditions and faecal microscopy. Once the diagnosis of feline tapeworm is confirmed, treatment is usually carried out by using an internal dewormer for tapeworms.
