In the early stages of cat rabies, there may be abnormal behaviour, such as tiredness or hyperactivity, which may manifest itself in sudden temper tantrums or habits of life. In the middle stage of the disease, at this time the cat may wander around, move unconsciously, be indifferent to its owner and have a slight breathing sound similar to a grunt. At the end of the disease, the cat is afraid of water and sound, fearful of light, and some unpleasant smells, with muscle spasms throughout the body and salivation. Most cats in this stage are aggressive. The death stage of the disease, when the spirit gradually turns into a suppressed state, the limbs are tense, breathing is difficult, foaming at the mouth and the whole body organs fail and die. This is why rabies vaccination is essential and scratches from dogs and cats must also be taken seriously, this is a low morbidity high mortality virus.
