Canine scourge is characterised clinically by high fever, jaundice, anaemia and haematuria. The main types of Babesia parasiticus in dogs are Babesia canis, Babesia gibbosa and Babesia wei. Usually when the dog improves with medication the appetite and spirit returns, the anaemia improves and the jaundice improves.
