Distemper test paper does not have a high error rate. However, the sensitivity of different brands of test strips may not be consistent. In addition, the concentration and stability of the antigen in the spot drops may be reduced within a humid environment or due to improper sampling practices. Therefore, the diagnosis of distemper is most accurately determined by combining symptoms and test paper results.
