It is not normally kept in families as the Pitbull is more genuine, friendly and loyal to people, but with its fierce personality, it may have a more aggressive nature towards hostile people or dogs. So generally the Pit is used as a fighting dog or working dog. If you keep it at home, you need to train it from a young age to avoid any later incidents of dogs hurting people, or dogs hurting dogs.
