The East African Hound is intelligent, loyal, stable, aristocratic and a valuable breed. However, because of its hunting origins, it has a strong prey drive and must be kept under close control. In addition, the family must provide enough space for them to move around and must ensure that they get enough exercise every day, and it is recommended that they are kept by experienced people.
