Beagles are intelligent and can learn some commands quickly, remembering to give some food rewards for completing them. This dog may not take kindly to his owner’s affection and praise, he may think it is not a meal after all. It can open sliding doors, doors with handles, doors with swinging latches and can tell exactly which people to please and which to ignore, even if it likes people to please it.
