It is not normal for kittens to have black dirt in their ears, as they are normally clean and pink, with at most some yellow oil secretions. If it is black, it may be caused by ear mites or a bacterial or fungal infection. If it is ear mites, you can clean your cat’s ear canal regularly with pet ear wash and ear medication, and you can also do in vitro deworming if conditions allow, as some in vitro deworming has an effect on ear mites. If it is an ear infection, you can use ear wash to clean the ears daily, which usually takes 1-2 weeks.
