Normal. Cats usually vomit hairballs at around eight months. Some cats do not vomit hairballs when they take the cream, instead they excrete the hairballs out of their bodies through defecation. The cream mainly serves to lubricate the intestinal tract and laxative effect. However, some cats will vomit after eating the cream, and most of the vomit is from hairballs. This is because after the cream has lubricated the hairballs, it does not pass through the pylorus to the intestine properly and smoothly, causing the hairballs to continuously irritate the stomach and thus cause vomiting.
