Is a cat with a large but active stomach suffering from ascites?

A cat with a large but active tummy may not necessarily be suffering from ascites, but may also be caused by indigestion, pus in the uterus, etc. You can gently pat the cat’s tummy to see if there is a fluctuating sensation, if there is a fluctuating sensation, then it may be ascites and needs to be sent to the vet for examination and treatment.
