When you find worms in your dog’s eyes, you will need to take him to hospital for treatment. Usually you will need to apply a local anaesthetic to the eye first, wait for a minute or so and remove the worms from the eye one by one until they are gone. After removal the dog needs to be given deworming medication to cut off the transmission route.
