Once a cat develops arthritis, the cat will walk with a limp and sometimes the affected limb is afraid to touch the ground, and this condition needs to be taken to hospital for examination. Arthritis is not curable at present, but can only be controlled. Cats are usually given antibiotics and pain medication to help relieve it, followed by joint maintenance medication, and in severe cases, injections to control it or surgery.
