Ringworm in cats is caused by fungal infections. The clinical manifestations are mainly itching, hair loss and increased dander. To confirm the diagnosis you need to go to an animal hospital or you can also do it yourself by shining a Wood’s lamp in a dark place. If the Wood’s lamp shines fluorescent green, it means that there may be a fungal infection of cat moss, but this test is not the only one and microscopic examination is recommended.
