How to prevent salmonellosis in dogs

Salmonellosis is a disease caused by bacteria of the genus Salmonella. The main manifestations are: gastroenteritis, depression, anorexia, elevated temperature, vomiting, diarrhoea, watery or mucus-like diarrhoea, bloody stools in severe cases, and septicaemia. Temporary bacteraemia and endotoxaemia often occur. In some cases, miscarriage can occur. Prevention: Do not feed contaminated food, avoid contact with dogs with the disease, and disinfect normally.
