Dogs can die from heat stroke if taken out in excessive play and exposure to the sun in summer, so never take your dog out in excessive exposure to the sun in the summer months. Watch your dog carefully and if he sticks his tongue out, it is best to stop taking him for strenuous exercise and rest him immediately. Dogs should not be left alone in the car during the sweltering summer heat. Don’t choose the time of day when the sun is at its fiercest when walking outside either.
