The first thing we need to consider in dogs that have not been vaccinated or have not yet completed their vaccinations are some common infectious diseases. For example, some dogs have microscopic, coronavirus, distemper virus, adenovirus, etc. All these viruses can cause some diarrhoea and blood in the stool in dogs. The next is some parasitic infections of the gastrointestinal tract, the more common ones are: tapeworm, roundworm, whipworm, trichuris, coccidia, etc.. These parasites can also cause blood and diarrhoea in the dog’s stool if they are severe. Then there are bacterial infections or fungal infections of the gastrointestinal tract, which can also lead to blood in the stool and diarrhoea. Secondly, the dog may have eaten something that should not be eaten, such as large bones or sharp objects, which may cause damage, inflammation or bleeding in the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. The last is some internal disease caused by the digestive tract collapse, such as some poisoning, just eat onions, daffodils or heat stroke, etc.. If your dog is in good spirits and has a good appetite, you can give him some gastrointestinal supplements at home, such as some probiotics, and these gastrointestinal tonics to regulate him. If it doesn’t work for a day or two, it’s best to take him to the vet as soon as possible.
