We cannot advise you too much on simple pathological changes as twitching is only a pathological manifestation of your pet, but we can give you some guidance on the length of time that twitching takes to occur and the periodicity of the twitching. Common causes of convulsions are: low blood calcium, central nervous system damage or abnormalities, brain damage or abnormalities, epilepsy, electrolyte disturbances, heat stroke, poisoning, etc. It is recommended that you take your pet to the doctor as soon as you notice the convulsions.
